RULES OF PLAY:
The game will be played in eight rounds. All players will stay ghosted unless called down. When I call for regs, please send a "shrug" (shift+F8) to me in ESP. I will take regs until 10 after the hour, then the game will begin. I'm not too terribly strict about the weekly games...however, NO late regs will be accepted during events!
When you are called down to play, please take the seat in the order in which you were called...first called sits in seat #1, second called in #2, etc. The number of people called to play will be determined by the number of people registered to play, divided as closely as possible by 8, with a maximum of 10 players per round. Alts will be allowed to play at my weekly games, but NOT in EVENT games. If you win a round, you will not be elligible for any possible redraws, or to win any other major prizes today.

The object of Secret Word is to be the first player to correctly guess a commonly-used six or seven letter "secret word".
I will start you out with the first letter of the word. Player #1 will get 30 seconds to guess the
word, so that everyone playing can see his/her guess. Players must come up with their answers within the 30 seconds allotted, and the answers must be spelled correctly to be accepted.
Even if the guess is not correct, the guess will provide clues to the other contestants. Here's an example, using a four-letter word to keep it simpler...and my comments are in parenthesis:

The secret word is LOOK. The play might go like this:
Host: The word for Player #1 is L---.
Player #1: LAST
Host: Sorry! The word for Player #2 is L---.
(Players now know that the word does not contain an A, S or T)
Player #2: LIKE
Host: Sorry! The word for Player #3 is L-k-.
(There's a K in the word, but it isn't the 3rd letter...and neither I nor E is in the Secret Word)
Player #3: LINK
Host: Sorry! The word for Player #4 is L--K.
(No I or N, but the K is now in the proper position)
Player #4: LOCK
Host: Sorry! The word for Player #5 is LO-K.
(No C, but the 2nd letter is an O)
Player #5: LOOK
Host: WTG! You win Round One!

If the last player called guesses incorrectly, the turn reverts to player #1, and we keep playing until someone guesses the secret word.
Once a round has been won, the winner will choose a box color, and recieve whatever prize that box contains. However, prize distribution differs between weekly & event games.Winners at my weekly games will be handed their prizes immediately. DP winners earn 1 point toward the monthly prize, and remain in the active player list unless they win a 1st, 2nd, 3rd or 4th place prize. Winners of the "main" prizes earn 3 points toward the monthly prize, but are removed from the active players list. They may only be reinstated to the active list if I have less than 2 active players before all the prizes are distributed. Winners at my event games will choose a box, but will not receive it until all rounds have been won. No points may accrue toward the monthly prizes during event games. Before the event game begins, I will also take donations toward our Door Prize Jackpot. ALL donations are entirely voluntary! The four event DP winners will each get an equal share of this special Jackpot prize!
